In 2008, Pat Flynn was laid off as a Job Captain in the architecture industry. Since then, he has built several businesses online that have now allowed him to make much more, and work much less.

Pat currently blogs at The Smart Passive Income Blog which has recently become one of the fastest growing blogs in the online marketing and blogging industry. He also hosts The Smart Passive Income Podcast, which was at one point the #3 overall business podcast in iTunes, ahead of podcasts from well-known public figures and authors, including Oprah, Suze Orman and Jim Cramer.

Pat's blog and podcast are about how he experiments with making money online and what he has learned along the way - making sure to reveal all aspects of the particular business he's focused on, the good and bad, the wins and the losses, so that others who may be interested in getting started with their businesses online will have a truthful, transparent, authentic and non-hyped look into what is involved and what to expect.

As a result of his experiments and case studies on his blog, Pat has built several other businesses including an iPhone application development company, a number of niche sites, and an income stream from affiliate marketing on the site as well.

Pat got his start with GreenExamAcademy.com, a website he built to help people pass the LEED exam in the architecture industry.

Currently, Pat enjoys working from home and spending time with his beautiful wife and their two children and his goals are to secure their financial future, retire early, and help others achieve the same.
